Just a warning, if you're a wife, your hubby will probably laugh and question you. Mine was teasing me for a while while I was doing this. He thinks I am nuts sometimes. (No objections there.) But that's part of why he loves me. ♥
My friend, Bonnie, showed me how to do this. I just now finally got around to doing it.
Are you as guilty as I was about having those plastic bags stuffed somewhere?
Wouldn't you rather all those bags look like this?
It's simple, here's how-
Flatten a bag so it looks like so.
Fold it in half.
Then in half again.
Slide you hand from the bottom of the bag to the handles of the bag to get out any air. ( I do this multiple times during the folding...it makes for a tighter fold.) I fold the handle part in half back towards the bottom of the bag.
Then fold it diagonally like so.
Then you just keep folding it towards the bottom of the bag. (You can do it from the bottom to the handle, but it's not as neat.)
Press out any excess air. (sometimes it doesn't want to, so I just leave it for fear of popping the bag.)
Then I flip it around...don't know why. ;)
Find an opening between the folded parts.
Then stuff the bottom into it.
Tada!
No more mess!
I keep a few in my car and one in my purse.
You never know when you'll need a trash bag or a place to put soiled clothes from a baby blowout!
{ Not that I have any experience in that or anything. :oP }
Okay- you got it going on! I WILL do this TODAY. I think we have a million bags, well not quite that many...
